Raspberry Jam

Tonight I was forced to make something with the amazing raspberries the kids and I picked from my Grandmas house. I couldnt stand to see them go to waste, and there was NO way we could eat them all. If you know me you know I do not cook or MAKE JAM or anything food related for that matter. But even though it was super easy I am still proud of myself. LOL

(and these cute jars photographed so cute I couldnt NOT share) :)

Ainzleys Bedroom

Ainzleys room has been a work in progress. And its finally coming together. I love how it is turning out. Here is her room in pictures

A pillow to match the flowers on the quilt.

This valance I am loving it. Aaron made the scalloped wood valance and I took all the left over pieces of fabric and sewed them all together. I love how it turned out. I kinda wish that I had made it longer so it gathered alittle more. But oh well maybe next time. :)
I have told you about this quilt before but I am going to tell you again. This quilt is amazing I love EVERYTHING about it. I had this wonderful lady piece it together for me since I wanted it done NOW. It would have taken me months to put it together. She did an AMAZING job. If you want a handmade quilt and dont want to make it or dont know how. I totally recommend her. She is fabulous!

I used the soft Minky on the back. Ainzley loves to curl up in it because its so soft!

The only thing left is to get the picture frames hung. I will show you how those turn out. When they get finished.

Pre-school Graduation

Yesterday was the last day of Preschool for the summer.

We loved preschool. But better yet we loved Miss Sherri. She is amazing. Seriously Izaak would always say "well Miss Sherri says I dont have to." To funny. He probably likes her more than me most days :). But he will get to enjoy her another year. Miss Ainzley will be joining him. He says they can be in the same class. :)

WOW 100th POST!

This is my 100th post!!!

Yeah!

Its only taken me like 3 years! LOL

Does anyone still read this lame old blog of mine!! I keep thing that I am going to keep up on this blog and do some fun things, but Holy Cow. I have been super crazy busy! I still need to do a post on my NEW room and Ainzleys New Room! I will get there! I promise! I have some tutorials I want to share to! I just need to finish my projects! I have so many started and none of them finished! Hopefully after Easter my Etsy shop will slow down and I can get a few things done!

Well stay tuned and I will do something fun for my 100th Post Celebration. Maybe a little give away or something!

This past weekend we had a little get away at Fairmont Hot Springs with Aarons family! They have been going there for many many years. If you dont know what or where this is. Its a small resort in Anaconda Montana out in the middle of no where. Yea I know what your thinking. :) Its fun for the kids we spend two days swimming, and they love every minute of it!

I had this lady make Ainzley a quilt for her new bed and it is so cute she did an incredible job. She has inspired me to practice my quilting abilities.

What a productive weekend! I also cleaned my house up and did ALL the laundry and even put some St. Patricks Decorations up.... I will share in another post!!

I Also noticed while writing this post I have almost written 100 blog entries its only taken me 2 years but hey its 100 blog entries. I only have five more to go and then I was thinking about doing a give away. What do you think!!!

Valentine Airplane Tutorial

Valentines Airplane

This is my very first tutorial!!! I am kinda excited about it. I know that doing these for Izaaks Valentines was a little over kill, but I only had to make nine so it wasnt to bad and I thought they were soooo cute. I could resist.

What you will need!!!

Heavy Duty Chipboard

(cut in to 2 21/2-8 pieces

1 1/2 x21/2 propeller

1 4 x 2 then a notch for the tube to fit)

Long plastic tube

Scrapbook paper

*I just used a paper pack that I had from a long time ago

Buttons

Wire

Ribbon

Candy

I cut out all my cardboard pieces and then took my wire and threaded it through the buttons and twisted the wire around so that the button was tight. Then I Hot glued everything to the plastic tube. They are super simple and it took me about an hour to make nine so not to time consuming either!!

Then I just made a cute little tag that said "You're just PLANE cool"

I loved how they turned out and Izaak was so excite!! Sorry I didn't post this sooner so you could make some for your Valentines, butt maybe next year!

I am A Lame Blogger!

I am totally a lame blogger! Nothing to adventurous has been going on here!! We have keep things kinda low key this past month. So here is a bunch of randomness!!!

I have been trying to stock up my Etsy store with come cute things!!!

I also took some Valentines Pictures of Ainzley!! Hope to take some of Izaak this week!

Last but not least a kind funny but painful story. I have been really wanting to redo our bedroom and so I have kinda been bugging Aaron to get things done for it! And we have had this super cute Headboard and Footboard that we got at downeast home in Utah for $75.00 super sweet deal. I wanted it painted and distress and all that. Well he has finally been working on it. Yesterday morning he was finishing up the footboard and I was out in the garage talking to him and the footboard sliped and I was like "oh let me help you with that" and I took a step to pick up the other side and he dropped the footboard right on my foot. Oh Man it hurt so bad. I ran into the house and by the time he got in to see if I was ok my foot had formed this huge huge bump that was bright purple on it. Aaron felt so horrible he was sure that it was broken and that we need to go to the Community Care, but I could move my toes and walk alittle on it so i didnt think it was broke. Our neighbor is a PA that works in the ER came and looked at it and said to give it a coupld days to see what happens, so thats what I am going to do! So needless to say I did not get anything done yesterday. I did lay in bed which I havent done in along time. It was kinda nice.

Here is a picture that Aaron took with his phone you can not see the huge purple looking thing that was on the top. But now its just black and swollen from my toes to my ankle!! Sorry if feet gross you out. And I really need a pedicure!! LOL

But our bed looks amazing and I cant wait to finish up the rest of our bedroom! I will post pictures and I will be posting my first ever tutorials on my blog. I have some fun ideas to share..

My Favorite Present was my new phone!!!! Yeah I really needed a new one and Santa pick a good one! I also go the most amazing shelf ever. Ok well he had made one for the craft fair and we didn't sell it so I hung it up in my kitchen and then my neighbor wanted to give his wife one for her birthday so I had to take that one off my wall and give it to them which was no big deal I didn't intend on keeping it, but I guess Santa new that I really really like it. So he made me my own. This picture really doesn't do it justice (i took it with my phone). But its really super cute. I will post more picture when I get it one my wall.

Ponder: Am I setting a righteous example for others? How can I let my light shine? Do my actions glorify God?

Have you ever stopped to think that perhaps you are the light sent by Heavenly Father to lead another safely home or to be a beacon from a distance to show the way back to the straight and narrow path the leads to eternal life? Your light is a beacon and should never stop burning or lead those who are looking for a way home. Let the lower light keep burning-- you may save a struggling seaman in the turbulent sea of life.

It isn't just nice to be a light for others; it is essential for their exaltation as well as for our own. "Let you light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16)

We are children of light. As children of light, we walk in the light and choose the right and stand for the right.

Choosing the right is a decision-making process. Choose to learn what is the right way to live you life, learning principles and keeping the commandments and covenants that guide and protect you as you exercise your agency in daily choices.

Choose to do what is right because your greatest desire it to love the Lord and to be obedient to his laws, ordinances and commandments so that you can return back into his presence eternally. Choose to do what is right because you love yourself and because you honor those who love you.

Help other to do what is right. CHoose to be of service and be an example of what is right by lifting and strengthening others to do what is right because you care.

Choose to turn around and repent immediately if you ever depart from the straight and narrow path that leads to eternal life. Repentance is a merciful result of our Savior's atoning sacrifice because of the love our Father in Heaven and his Son Jesus Christ have for each of us.

As I ponder the questions that have been asked to ponder I am kinda feeling a little guilty. I know that I can do better to set a righteous example for others. I am going to work on that and strive to do better. I do hope that I have been the light in someone's life. I know there have been several people in my life that have been the light. One impractical is a neighbor of mine that befriended me the first day I went to church. If it hadn't been for her and her extending her hand in friendship with me I am not sure that I would have kept going to church. I know she has no idea the what an impact that had on me. I love her dearly. and hope that one day she will see what a great example she is to me and by her example she gives me hope and strength that things do happen for a reason and to have patience and trust in the lord and things will work out. I am grateful for many people that have been the light in my life.

Day 4- Am I a daughter of Christ?

Ponder: How can I get rid of guilt? How can I put myself in a position to have the power of the atonement cover my sins? Do I understand what Christ did for me? Do I comprehend the great love He has for me?

To those who may feel they have somehow forfeited their place at the table of the Lord, we say again with the Prophet Joseph Smith that God has "a forgiving disposition,"16 that Christ is "merciful and gracious, slow to anger, [is] long-suffering and full of goodness."17 I have always loved that when Matthew records Jesus' great injunction, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect,"18 Luke adds the Savior's additional commentary: "Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful"19--as if to suggest that mercy is at least a beginning synonym for the perfection God has and for which all of us must strive. Mercy, with its sister virtue forgiveness, is at the very heart of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the eternal plan of salvation. Everything in the gospel teaches us that we can change if we need to, that we can be helped if we truly want it, that we can be made whole, whatever the problems of the past.

Now, if you feel too spiritually maimed to come to the feast, please realize that the Church is not a monastery for perfect people, though all of us ought to be striving on the road to godliness. No, at least one aspect of the Church is more like a hospital or an aid station, provided for those who are ill and want to get well, where one can get an infusion of spiritual nutrition and a supply of sustaining water
in order to keep on climbing.

Those who will receive the Lord Jesus Christ as the source of their salvation will always lie down in green pastures, no matter how barren and bleak the winter has been. And the waters of their refreshment will always be still waters, no matter how turbulent the storms of life. In walking His path of righteousness, our souls will be forever restored; and though that path may for us, as it did for Him, lead through the very valley of the shadow of death, yet we will fear no evil. The rod of His priesthood and the staff of His Spirit will always comfort us. And when we hunger and thirst in the effort, He will prepare a veritable feast before us, a table spread even in the presence of our enemies--contemporary enemies--which might include fear or family worries, sickness or personal sorrow of a hundred different kinds. In a crowning act of compassion at such a supper He anoints our head with oil and administers a blessing of strength to our soul. Our cup runneth over with His kindness, and our tears runneth over with joy. We weep to know that such goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life, and that we will, if we desire it, dwell in the house of the Lord forever.23

Day 3 - Do I Really Understand Repentance

Ponder : Have I truly sought forgiveness from the Lord? Do I really believe He will forgive me?

I learned about the great plan of happiness, that we are on earth to be tested. We will all make mistakes. The Apostle John taught, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Fortunately he added, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."4 I paid particular attention to that word cleanse.

I thought that repentance, like soap, should be used frequently. I found that when I apologized for mistakes, things were better. But for serious mistakes, an apology was not enough--sometimes not even possible. While these mistakes were, for the most part, not major ones, the spiritual pain called guilt invariably set in. Sooner or later they must be resolved, but I didn't know what to do. That happens when you break something that you alone can't fix.

Among you young people are those who are "vexed," as Peter said, "with the filthy conversation of the wicked."5 Some of you joke about standards and see no need to change behavior. You tell yourselves it doesn't matter because "everybody's doing it."

But that doesn't work because you, by nature, are good. How many times have you heard someone say, after doing some generous or heroic deed or simply helping others, how good it made them feel? Like any natural feeling or emotion, that reaction is inborn in you. Surely you have experienced that yourself! Happiness is inseparably connected with decent, clean behavior.

The prophet Alma bluntly told his wayward son that because he transgressed he was "in a state contrary to the nature of happiness" and that "wickedness never was happiness."6 Those who don't know how to erase mistakes often feel cornered and rebellious and lose themselves in unworthy living. If you travel with transgressors, you will suffer much more than I did in that restaurant.

It was through reading the scriptures, and listening, that I could understand, at least in part, the power of the Atonement. Can you imagine how I felt when finally I could see that if I followed whatever conditions the Redeemer had set, I need never endure the agony of being spiritually unclean? Imagine the consoling, liberating, exalting feeling that will come to you when you see the reality of the Atonement and the practical everyday value of it to you individually.

You need not know everything before the power of the Atonement will work for you. Have faith in Christ; it begins to work the day you ask! The scripture speaks of "obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel."9 We all pretty well know what it means to obey laws. But how are we to obey ordinances?

Generally we understand that, conditioned upon repentance, the ordinance of baptism washes our sins away. Some wonder if they were baptized too soon. If only they could be baptized now and have a clean start. But that is not necessary! Through the ordinance of the sacrament you renew the covenants made at baptism. When you meet all of the conditions of repentance, however difficult, you may be forgiven and your transgressions will trouble your mind no more.

As I have pondered "Repentance" today. I have kinda had a guilty feeling. That maybe I am not truly repenting and that I do not repent often enough. So my goal is to seriously every week before I partake in the sacrament to truly seek out what I need to repent about and put forth more effort.
I love that when we talk about repentance it seem as tho we talk about forgiveness. I love the ability to forgive. Forgiving has played a huge part in my life. I have had several people in my life that not matter what they have done and what they continue to do to me I can forgive. Sometimes you have to forgive for your self and move on. I know that by forgiving that I am following my Heavenly Father. He forgives us a million times. And for me to forgive is only asking one small thing. I wish everyone could do just that FORGIVE. I know so many people out there that hold all these negative feelings inside for years about people and it would only take forgiving the other person for what they may have done to them. In reality I think sometimes you are only hurting and torturing yourself. I have been there before and its not a pleasant feeling. But as I grow and learn more about the power to forgive I have come to realized it truly is a beautiful thing and I am grateful for it.

Ponder: From whom do I get my strength> Am I abiding in Christ? How can I bring forth much fruit Lord? Can He call me a friend?

As a Saint you say, "I think I understand my duty, and I am doing very well." That may be so. You see the little twig: it is green; it flourishes and it is the very picture of life. It bears its part and proportion in the tree, and is connected with the stem, branches, and root. But could the tree live without it? Yes it could. It need not boast itself and get uplifted and say, 'How green I am! and how I flourish! and what a healthy position I am in! How well I am doing! and I am in my proper place and doing right.' But could you do without the root! No: you bear your proper part and position in the tree. Just so with this people. When they are doing their part when they are magnifying their calling, living there religion, and walking in obedience to the Spirit of the Lord, they have a portion of his Spirit given them to profit withal. And while they are humble, faithful, diligent, and observe the laws and commandments of God, they stand in their proper position on the tree: they are flourishing, the buds blossoms, leaves, and everything about them are all right, and they form a part and parcel of the tree...." (John Taylor, in Journal of Discourses, 6:108)

As I have ponder this today the thoughts of I am I truly doing what is asked of me am I really giving my 100% to my callings. My calling in the church as and Activity Days leader is so rewarding and so fun. I love it and I love the girls they bring a special spirit with them. I always feel a warm comforted feeling when they leave and all my hard work has made off. Just to see that the girls enjoy coming. Is worth it all. I am probably not the best leader and have the best ideas, but I try. My calling as a visiting teacher has been a huge blessing for me. I get excited every month when its time to go and go wether it the best time or not and I always so grateful that I made the time to see those ladies. I am so grateful for my partner she is great and I have learned so much from her. The ladies I visit are awesome I am grateful for them and the love that they show me.

But not only my church callings, but the calling I have as a mother to my children and a wife to my husband. Sometimes I feel like I am truly giving my all and and couldn't possible do one more thing then I realize that maybe that ONE more thing I could do or ONE more thing I could say. To take the time and read that one more book before bed. And to hold and love my children more. Would make a huge difference and the I think YES! I can these things are more important that I sometimes realize. And these little things are what's going to hold my family together in these trying times. Again I am so grateful to have been reminded of these things and to be able to re prioritize my life with the things that truly matter and are most important.

The "WALK" with Christ - DAY 1

Sunday in Relief Society each sister was given this little pack of papers with the note that says " As each of us participate in this "walk" may we build a sure foundation in christ so that we may be immovable in times of trial, strengthen each other and our families, and develop a strong sisterhood." The only way we think that we can really know another person is to walk in there shoes: think what they think. learn what they know, and what they would say. do what they would do.

I wasn't sure what this was all about so today when I open my first day and found this letter. Tears suddenly streamed down my cheeks. And I felt a like my prayers had been answered. I really can not explain how I felt. This is exactly what I needed at this point in my life. Regarding an earlier post of not know where I am at in life and how I was supposed to get my life in the right direction. So the next 14 days I want share with you each little message. And to write my feelings down for myself so I can look back and remember this. I am not very good at keeping a journal so this is close enough.

Day 1- Am I seeking Christ's Help?

I just had to send you a note to tell you how much I love you and care about you. I saw yesterday as you were walking with your friends. I waited all day hoping you would want to talk with me also. It hurt me, but I still love you because I am your friend.

As I have pondered this it kinda put in to perspective for me that Christ really does love me and that he wants to help and be my friend. And that if I just ask he will help and comfort me. Prayer is kinda hard for me. Not really sure why, but maybe thats just what I need to do is pray a little more often and to ask for guidance because obviously I can not do this on my own. I do need help with the things I struggle with. Another thing that came to my mind is praying for others. If I don't pray for other that I know do not faithfully say prayers then how will they be blessed. I pray for my family often. But I am going to make it a point to pray for those people I know that need a little extra strength or comfort. I am so grateful for this one little piece of paper and the message it brought to me.

I have been pondering along time about posting this but I am going to and sorry if it may offend someone. This is my life and what I an struggling with and thats that.

Lately I have totally been struggling with many different things. But what I have really been struggling with is my life in general nothing seems right!! I can not seem to get in control of it. It controls me and I just can not take it anymore. We had an enrichment meeting a couple weeks ago it was on organizing you life your things and everything like that. I seriously went home and cried my little head off. I thought I need to go and listen and maybe get some great ideas but no I went home and felt like CRAP because well my house is totally out of control and my priorities are all messed up and My kids run wild and well the list goes on and on!!!! Holy Cow I am only 24 and I feel like a haggard old lady. Sometimes I wonder I am only 24 and I already have so much stress and so many problems what am I going to be like when I am 40. Its a scary thought for me. I watch all these Moms that live around me and ask myself they all seem to live the orderly structured care free lives. Ok you are not suppose to envy people but right now heck yeah I envy everyone of them. HOW THE HECK DO THEY DO IT!! Most days I seriously have no energy to get my butt out of bed! To cook my family breakfast or to even get the kids dressed most days. I have no clue were to even began to start!!! I feel like I am always yelling at my kids and at Aaron. Hr probably is thinking what did I marry. Seriously.

Another thing for those of you who dont know I haven't always been active in the church and now I am. I know this is going to sound really bad but sometimes I wonder if life would just be easier to not be. Most of the time I feel like its pressure for me to be doing all these glorious things that I cant do. I try and I try and I almost feel like I am let down. ( Does that make sense ) I really hate going to church and hearing all these people tell these great stories how they had revelations or whatever. Ok people not everyone is that lucky! Maybe I am doing something wrong but man would that great man above give a girl a break.

I have never been this way. I have always been the one in control. I used to drive Aaron crazy when we first got married because I could not go to bed with out the pillows on the couch just right or if there was a glass in the sink. Financially I new where every penny went. And know who cares, but thats my point I do care and its driving me totally crazy. I feel totally physically mentally and spiritual lost. I have no clue where to began to start!!!!!!!!

So I guess the reason I wanted to post this was to here if anyone had any great Ideas to help me out!!! I need a change in my life for myself and my family. They really are the ones suffering. I SERIOUSLY NEED HELP.

Ok well maybe not straight, but it sure feels like thats the only thing I have been doing. I received an order on Esty for 10 pants and 10 dresses. I was so excited. In the mean time I had been emailing a lady back and forth about some ties that she wanted to buy to sell in an online store. Anyways I had found some fabrics that she liked and I was thinking a couple out of each or something. NO BIG DEAL!!! Well she wanted 10 of each. So total of 50 ties. Great on the business side but not so great on my precious sleep time. DANG IT. Anyways I am done with the the dress and pant order. ANd Am almost done with the ties. Aaron came downstairs last-night and walked into my sewing room and was like a tornado it this place. Ok Its pretty bad. I am kind embarrassed to show yo, but I am going to. So I can document my hard work. It might take me another month to clean this place up!!!!

I want this little girl to be out of the TERRIBLE TWOS. OH MY!!!!

Some of her naughtiness???

* Dumping not one but two bottles of glitter in my kitchen and then she tried to pick it up (bless her heart)by putting it into baggies. So not only is my floor have glitter all over but so does all my kitchen cabinets. And that stuff is not easy to clean up. So my house is pretty much glittery everywhere.
* She has to do everything herself. She will not let anyone get her dress so most of the time she is dress and something is either on backwards or inside out or both. Not to mention she changes her clothes like four times a day.
* Her new favorite thing is to stick out her tongue.
* She often tells me " Mom you Mean"
* She constantly pesters Izaak. Or maybe the other way around. Regardless one or the other is always crying.
* Potty Training well we wont even go there.
* Bedtime is a nightmare. she will not stay in bed.

You may ask how can you get made at such a cute little thing. Well looks are sometimes deceiving.... But I wouldnt trade it for anything. She is also so sweet and loving. She always is the first to "clean up" when I ask. And she is always sure to tell you that she "lubs you."

I love you Ainz!!!!

Side note I vent to my mom and all she says is "Sorry Honey she is just like you when you were that age." GOT TO LOVE MOMS!!!

Ok so tonight I am feeling very random. (ok does that really happen to anyone else but me). Anyways. I have been looking to get some new boots. Not to Casual and not to dressy. Just ones I can wear to church and just everyday!!! So I have been looking and looking and then I found these!
So arent those just the cutest boots ever. But 400 and something dollars. AHHHHH!!!! Who can afford to spend that much one one pair of boots. Ok well maybe someone can, but I CANT!!!!

Aaron and I have been talking about selling the furniture that he has been refinishing. Then I gave him this idea he should make furniture too. Anyways I saw one of these benches made out of a headboard and loved it. We were telling my neighbor about them and she wanted one that she could put her milk in so he made it like a box. Anyways it turned out super cute. We have a couple piece that he will be finishing soon that are as cute or even cuter!! So if you are interested let us know!! He will also refinish something you many have already.

I also had to share this darling little high chair that he also refinished!!! I am in LOVE with it!!

Izaak turned 4 on September 5. I cant believe it. I love this funny little boy so much, he is such a little bundle of joy. He loves his sister dearly even though they fight constantly. He always sure to tell her that he loves her. So CUTE!!!!

We had a Contruction birthday party for him and well it was interesting four year olds would just rather play together and not have any kind of structured party, but it was still fun Izaak loved it!!!! Not what I was going for, but it was fine.

Last Monday He also started PreSchool. He was so excited to go. I dropped him off and he had me walk him in, but as soon as he saw the toys he said "Its ok you can go now." Then when I went to pick him up he ran to me and then started crying so hard. I asked him what was wrong and he said he didnt want to leave his stuff there. Meaning is scissors. He thought those were pretty cool. But after I explained why he had to leave them there he was ok. I kinda miss him when he is gone though. Its way to quite aroud here without him, but I sure got alot of sewing done in just the two hours he was gone.

At Home Challenge

A girl that used to be in my ward called me and asked me if I would be willing to do this challenge for the At Home magazine that the Idaho Standard Journal does. So I said sure. So the assignment is to set a beautiful table for four people, using items you already have (dishes, fabric, place mats, whatever). After she told me I was a little worried. I committed before I new what the challenge was. I think it turned out great and I had fun putting it all together.

Saturday Project

Our Saturday was full of projects!!! I told you Aaron had been working on a project for me. Here is a sneak peak. The shelves are done, just not hung on the wall. I will show pictures of the finished projects.

Even after a long hot day and lost of hard work he still just smiles!! I love him and sure appreciate all he does for me!!!

Then we have had these chairs that I bought a while back for our kitchen table, but after I bought them and got them home they were to short for our table. I was totally bummed. We decided to go ahead and refinish them and sale them. They are beautiful. I wish they worked for us. I hate to sale them But we dont need four chairs. So if anyone is interested let me know.

I will post a finished picture of the chairs. They have been distressed and glazed and I am re covering the seats brown.

I also found my new obession I LOVE ANYTHING MUSTARD. We painted some picture frames and a shelf mustard and then glazed them and OH MY!!!! I cant get enough. I think I will be painting everything mustard. My bedroom is first on the list.

Just a Little Update on My little Family!!!

*Izaak started swimming lessons. Not sure that he enjoys them, but I make him go.
*Aaron is working a new project for me. Hopefully we will get it done this weekend so that I can get some of those family pictures on my walls.
*The kids love to spend every waking minute out side in the dirt. BOTH kids. I think Ainzley is just as much boy as Izaak just in pink and bows.
*I quite my job at Community Care. I am excited about that more time for the kiddos and more time for me to try and figure out how to organize my life. If anyone has any pointers on that please send them my way. Kinda feeling overwhelmed with that at this moment.
*I got some fabulous hair extensions. LOVE THEM!!!

Not much is going on, just enjoying this nice weather we have had the last couple days.

Ainzley 1st Hair Cut

We are going to be getting some family pictures taken on Wednesday, and I was telling Aaron that he and Izaak need to go and get a hair cut. He kept asking me if I was going to get Ainzleys cut to. I have been so scared to cut it. I didnt want someone to mess it up and I liked that it was longer. But it was always in her face. Anyways I gave in and took her and got it cut. Its a little shorter than I was hoping for, but the lady who cut it said that she need all that baby hair cut off. So here she is...... Its cute!!!!

Yesterday night I called my mom and she said that her dogs were missing. Its not like my moms dogs to just be missing. My sister, my brother, and her neighbor were out looking for them all night. It so sad my mom is single and her dogs are like her best friend her companion. I feel so terrible, today I have been driving around all afternoon looking for them and posting up signs. We have a feeling that someone took them or let them out of her backyard. The gates where closed when she went out looking for them. And there is no way they can get out of the yard. In 5 years that she has had them they have never once gotten out. Please pray for us that we can find them. We Miss Them and Want Them Home.

On April 12 Ainzley turned 2. I cant believe how time goes by so fast. She is so fun and has the cutest little personality. I cant imagine life with out her. She is always keeping us on are toes.

This picture taking stuff is so fun!!!! I am having so much fun learning and experimenting. I took these pictures of my friend Jodi's little baby. She is 3 months old. She really didn't like getting her pictures taking that much. But I think I got a few cute ones. I totally have no Idea how to edit really, but I got Lightroom and have been trying to learn everything I can. I find my self spend to much time online researching and watching tutorials on how to edit. I guess I am going to have to ask my sister in law who by the ways is an amazing photography for some lessons.

So this Saturday I took the most amazing photography class ever. I learned so much in just one day. I cant wait to take more classes.!!!! I took the class at a store in Idaho Falls called Perfect Light. The teacher was so good. So if you want to learn your camer I highly recommend taking his classes.

I wanted to do something fun with the kids for Valentines Day. And My kids love to help cook. So we I asked Izaak what he wanted to bake and he said "muffins" he actually means cupcakes. So tonight that what we did. Then we tried to deliver them to Izaaks friends in the neigborhood, but no one was home. His little heart was sad. We will try later. New Years Resolution!!!

One of my New Years Resolutions is to be a better blogger. I often think sometimes why do I blog does anyone really read this thing or do people really even care. So please if you read this pathetic thing leave me a comment letting me know.( I would greatly appreciate it. Then I will have some motivation to keep up on it. I have been wanting to post somethings from the past holidays, but I got this new fancy camera that I have been "trying" to take pictures with and well I'm not very good and not confident enough to share them with anyone yet. But to make this post worth reading I will, but don't make fun of my not so good photography skills.

First with Thanksgiving. We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. AND I COOKED MY VERY FIRST TURKEY. If you know me I DON'T COOK. So I was a little nervous to be cooking for someone else besides my own little family. But I think I pulled it off. After cooking the turkey. I thought WOW that's it. Put it in and let it cook! OK sounds stupid but I was super excited that it turned out and even tasted good.!!!!

CHRISTMAS!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas. It was so fun to watch the kids. Izaak knew who Santa's was this year and was way excited. They both were so fun and they loved Christmas. They are still singing "Santa Clause is coming to town." the Jackson 5 version. So cute. On day I was driving to Idaho Falls, and we where listing to that song and they were both sing and I looked and in my rear view mirror and there faces were so bright and merry. I made be get a little teary eyed. Its was so precious!

On Christmas Eve we had a little family get together with Aaron's family. Which is always fun. Aaron's Mom made all her kids the most beautiful quilts. Home made gifts are always the best. And I forgot to take my camera. So no pictures.

They are so funny!!! That's totally them! Silly Kids!

Christmas morning... I was so excited for the kids that I woke everyone up at around 7:30. I went into Izaak's room and I could tell that he was awake, but he was laying there with the blanket over his face. I jerked the blanket down and scared him to death. Later that morning I asked him why he was hiding and he said he was scared of Santa. But they both were so fun to watch. Santa brought Izaak a Thomas the Train Set, and Ainzley got a kitchen and a shopping cart.

Christmas Day... We spent the day with my family. It is so fun to just hang out and eat and enjoy each others company. My mom gave me a new set of pots and pans. They were the Paula Dean ones. I absolutely love them. Maybe I will start trying to cook. JUST MAYBE!!!

NEW YEARS... My sister in Law invited us up to a Cabin they had rented for a couple days. So we enjoyed playing in the snow and eating yummy food. and making some simply divine cookies. Angie I WANT THAT RECIPE. We had a great time. Thanks Ang for inviting us!!!

Yesterday Aaron turned 30!!!! Happy Birthday. I was having such a hard time deciding what to get him. I asked Izaak what we should we get him he kept saying a "gun." Do you think maybe his dad was telling him that's what he wanted. After going to a million stores I decided the perfect gift. Which was TV.... he spends so many long hours at the lab that I thought he needed alittle entertainment. And my mom got him a DVD player. So now he is set. We finally had a date.... first in so long. We went to dinner at the Sandpiper. I didn't think it was that great, but he did. That's all that matters. Anyways hopefully he had a great day.

4 Years

Last week Aaron and I celebrated our 4Th wedding anniversary. I cant believe how time goes by so fast. I was pondering all the things that I have done in the past four years, and I cant believe that I am only 22. I have to thank Aaron for all that he has provided me with. So I just wanted to share why I love him.

1. I love the way he treats me.
2. I love his smile
3. I love that he is a wonderful father
4. I love that he is a hard worker
5. I love that he shows compassion
6. I love that he loves and cares about others
7. I love just the little things about him
8. I love him just because i do
9. I love him because he is always willing to help

For a little vacation we borrowed Aarons mom and dads RV and stayed in Island Park. It was so fun. We spent the day in West Yellowstone. Then we went to the PLaymill. It was so funny we love the playmill. We took Izaak up with us just for the day. He had so much fun. I had to buy him a fishing pole. He loved it.

I really need to do an update. SO.....

1st Vacation..... We had a fabulous time. It was so fun to just spend time together.

So funny story when we first got to San Francisco we walked down to Fisherman's Wharf and we saw all these fire trucks and ambulances. So Aaron's like lets see what is going on. So we headed on over there. I was a little nervous to go and be a spectator, but when we got over there we discovered that a lady had fallen in to the ocean, and they were trying to get her out. The funny thing was there was the Coast Guard the San Francisco police and about 20 fire men. And it took them over an hour to get this poor lady out of the water. She was alive and ok once they finally got her out.

This was where she had fallen in to the water at. This is a boat museum.

So after we left watching them get her out I said to Aaron "oh no is this how weird people are her. I am totally out of my comfort zone." amd well there are alot of weird people that do weird thing in San Francisco.

We went on a City Tour that was way fun. We were able to see all the fun place that the city had. We went to the golden gate bidge, Golden Gate Park, Downtown City ( To all the little districts )and Fishermans Wharf.

This is one of the Victorian Home on the Famous Postcard Row. ANd this is the house on the T.V. Show Full House. That was fun for me, because when I was growing up I was a Total Full House Fan

OH CHINATOWN.... I really didnt like ChinaTown. It smelled funny it was very dirty and there was a lot of cheap stuff. It was something to see, but I didnt want to go back. Not a wonderful place, but sure something to see.

OH Man we had the best Italian food ever. It was soo good that we went two nights in a row. Yum Yum. I had to take a picture of our food to remember how good it was. Everytime I look at the picture my mouth starts to water.

We went to Alcatraz. That was very Interesting. It was neat to expericence what the prison was really like for the prisioners.

We went everywhere and did everything. We had a great time. I Cant wait for another vacation. THanks Aaron for making it possible for us to go.

2nd I got something New.....

This little red cabinet I have been wanting for ever. I saw it at Sams Club and had to have it. It just make this wall complete. And I absolutely love it.

I also have been wanting to show off my quilt that I made in my quilting class. I was very excited about it. And it actually turned out better than I had thought it would. Matching all those points and corners were not fun, but it turn out just fine.

Its finally starting to look a lot better. But I havent taken picture yet, but if you are my neigbor reading this you will agree with me that its finally looking like someone cares. Its not just weeds everywhere.

I Cant Believe We Are Going On Vacation

So after I was done working this morning I called Aaron at work and I asked him what he was doing and he said looking for airfare and I am like what for and he said because we are going to San Francisco. I asked why. He said because he has to get out of here. For those of you who don't know Aaron has been seriously working 24 hours a day 7 days a week. NO JOKE!!!! So I asked when and he said next week. I started to freak out. Telling him that we cant afford it and all of that, but he won and we are going next week for 5 days. I am so excited to spend time with Aaron. I have been starting to feel pretty lonely with him not being around very much.

I Also Havent blogged for a while. Because well there isnt really anything exciting happening in our life. And I havent take very many pictures. I need to be better about taking pictures. We have been working alot outside in our yard. It is finally starting to look alot better. I will post pictures when we finish are flower bed and Aaron gets the rock wall done this weekend.

Izaak has been enjoying playing outside and riding his bicycle. When he talks about his bike he refers to it as his red bicycle. We are still trying to potty train. Its been so hard. We will do so good for a couple of days and then we are back at square one. He has started to talk about going to pre school, and I tell him that he has to go potty in the toilet all the time, and then he can go. So maybe that will give him so incentive. Probably not, but we will just keep working at it.

Ainzley is starting to walk... well when she wants to. She can walk but would rather walk on her knees. She is getting more teeth. Her top teeth are the size of grown up teeth. No just kidding but they are pretty big. I hope that it all works out and she looks fine. She is in the stage of throwing fits when she doesnt get what she wants. She is so fun. I just love her to death. I dont have any recent pictures of her. So Sad!!!

Easter / Ainzleys First Birthday

This was a crazy chaotic Easter. Not only was it Easter, but it was Ainzleys 1st Birthday. I have learned my lesson to not celebrate a birthday on a Holiday. Especially a more important birthday. I was so excited for the two to be on the same day, but having a birthday party, sick/tired kids, Easter egg hunt, and 12 kids. Just was way to much for me. The kids had a great time with the Easter Egg hunt which they always do. Aarons mon cook a yummy Easter dinner. Easter all in all was fun for the kids, which is all that really matters.

THEN FOR THE BIRTHDAY!!!

Izaak all day kept saying "its sissy's birthday." Izaak likes birthdays. But he is only two so he thinks that when its someone Else's birthday that it has to be his to. So he had started to unwrap the three presents that I had wrapped for Ainzley and then pretty much opened them for her. I think with them being so close that's how its going to be for awhile. I cant believe my baby is already one. I have been so blessed with her she is just so sweet and precious, Her little personality is price less. I Thank Heavenly father for sending these little angles to Aaron and I. We couldn't have ask for anything better. Happy Birthday SISSY.

Fairmont Hot Springs

So every year the Hansen Family goes to Fairmont Hot Springs. Its a little resort in Montana. There is a a big warm swimming pool and a water slid. So the kids have such a great time. Izaak had the best time ever and we told him about two weeks before we were actually going so for the two weeks before we went thats all we heard about was that he was going to fairmont and was going swimming. Even though he had such a great time he wouldnt hold still long enough for me to take his picture. We go to Fairmont on Thursday night. Friday morning everyone goes swimming and then we go to a place in Butte, Montana called the Silver Bow and we eat pizza and they have a little arcade and a carousel. Then we go shopping. I got some really cute things and the store we went to was having a great sale. I will post pictures of my great buys later. But we had a great time. Cant Wait Till Next Year. I did realize though that packing for everyone was not fun. Aaron came home to see the back of the car completly full of stuff and he said " Do we really need all of that " and I didnt pack anything extra. I packed what we needed. With little kids I guess you just need more stuff.

I also took the Kids to see the Eater Bunny, but I Izaak was to scared to get close to the Easter Bunny, But Ainzley wasnt.

So tonight I was just serfing the net, because I am out of my mind bored. Aaron is in utah again working on Jills house and the kids and I have just been just hanging out. But I found this absolutely amazing website. I love it. It has some of the cutest free patterns. Check it out . It is sooo fun. Anyways I also have been taking a quilting class on Thursday nights and when I went on Thursday they had these cute little mini jellyrolls. Well I guess they call them "Honey Buns" they are so cute. They come in a set of two. And there is a cute little bag pattern that comes with it. So you can make two cute bags. They are soooo cute.

So Ainzleys hair is getting long and out of control. There is no hair in the back really and its really long on top. I don't really like the one pig tails on top. I think it make kids look like pebbles from the Flintstones. So I here is Ainzley with her first "Pigtails". She looks so cute. Little girls are so much fun.

I also have still been sewing away. These are my latest and greatest projects. Oh and by the way I am so proud of myself I did the dress all by myself. No Help. Yeah for me.

Aaron has been gone helping his sister Jill paint her new house. So lately all I have really been doing is sewing. I got on this bib kick and have made a million (ok not a million), but alot of bibs. I am always making bags and other fun thingks. I just bought some really cute fabric online to make another skirts, so i am really excited about that. Its by Heather Bailey and its from her Fresh Cut Line. I think it will be sooo cute for spring and summer I think. I cant wait to get it. Ainzleys birthday is coming so soon and I am wanting to make her a cute little ruffley dress, but I just cant find the right fabric. So thats what my nexte project is going to be. So Yeah for me.

Bumble Jumble

Oh My Bumbles!!!! I love these watches. I already have four. And I am so lucky to have my mom sell them. So I get first choice and get in on all new stuff. I will be hosting an open house for her one Thursday February 26 from 6:30 to 8:30. So if you want everyone is invited. They have earrings, necklaces, and bracelets also. Oh and they have the cutest little girl bracelets. Ainzley was given all four for Valentines Day. What a lucky little girl she is.

When Times Get Hard

I have been thinking alot lately about our life and we arent have the best time right now, but I just think about all the good that is really in my life. I guess that with this post I want to say what I am so grateful for. I am greatful for my wonderful husband. He works so hard for our family, and does everything he can to take care of us. I am so greatful for my kids they are the light in my life, when I am having a bad day they always make me happy to hold them and to love them is the best blessing ever. And to hear my two year old tell me that he loves me and that he loves his "sissy." I love the little unexpected hugs. I am so grateful for my mom and the wonderful person that she is. I am so proud of how far she has came and all her accomplishments. She makes me want to better myself. She is great. I am so grateful for Aarons Family. They reach out to help when they feel they need to. I am so blessed that I have them to do things with and to talk to. And to know that they are there for us. I am greatful to be apart of the ward we live in. Everyone is so great. I am greatful for the gospel in my life and all the blessing it has given me and my family.

So going through these hard times, and knowing that I have all these wonderful things and people in my life. I know that we will be ok. When things get rough look at all the good you have and it will make you realize that things could be worse than what you have.

So I had to share this picture with everyone. I thought it was so funny. Aaron and I were at church and Ainzley was being a wiggly worm, so i sat her on the floor, and I was wispering to Aaron and I looked down and Ainzley was doing full on splits. Well when I did gymnastic they called it a pancake. And those of you who dont know what that is its when you are in the splits and you lay flat on your tummy well that what she was doing. I wished I had a camera at church to get a picture of it, but when we got home she did it again. Its like her new thing . Its so cute... My kids do the funniest things at church and I always wish that I could bring my camera, but oh well....

I had the best time getting Ainzleys little Lady Bug costume together. While putting it together I cam across my new favorite thing. AND... that is Baby Legs. Oh My Gosh!!!! They are sooooo Cute. So this blogging thing is hard for me to remember to do, but we have been crazy busy with life things. I have been sewing like crazy trying to get all my Christmas presents done, before the last minute. I am so excite I found this pattern for a baby toy. Its one of those stacker toys, but made out of all different textured fabric, anyways super cute. When I get a chance I will post some pictures of all my projects.

On Saturday October 11, 2008 Aaron and I were sealed in the Rexburg Temple for time and eternity. We also had our kids sealed to us. I was the most special day ever. I cant even explain in words the way I felt. I was a little overwhelmed but, I made it. I am so grateful for the Hansen Family and for all there support. I am so lucky to have married into such a wonderful family. Its such a blessing to have so many people in my lives that are all wonderful examples in so many different way. Each on of them are so wonderful. And I love all of you. Thanks for accepting me in your family. I cant began to tell you how blessed I am.

That all that is going on for now. Time to put Kids to bed.

So Deseret Book is have 50% off there framed art. And I really want this picture. I cant decide though if I really want it. My house is small and I don't have a lot of wall space. So I was thinking I would get it and hang it in our bedroom. We are going to be sealed in the temple in October, so i thought it would be fitting to get it. Since it is a picture of the temple. Well my little boy is two. I cant believe it. He is growing up so fast. It feel like just yesterday that I had him. Izaak is such a blessing to our family. Eventhough sometimes going through the trerrible two's can be a struggle. Expecially having to small kids at the same time. We still love and cherish every second with them. He is such a big brother. He loves his "sissy" and is always trying to help me take care of her. He is so smart for his age. (I Think) I havent been around many two year olds. But he is so smart.

So I have talk to so many people about this blogging business, and finally I have decided to give it a try. I hope it will be as fun and exciting as everyone makes it out to be. I pick "These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things" for my title because I am always finding things that I always call my "NEW FAVORITE THING" so it will be fun to share them with other people then well I guess just my husband. I go sew with a group of women once a week and every time I go they are always asking what my new favorite things is. Its Kinda Funny! Anyways I hope I can also use this Blogging thing kinda like a journal because I am really bad at keeping one. I know that I really should, but to sit down and write something down takes to much time. With this on the computer it just seems like it may be a little easier, and I use the computer alot. So heres to my new experience!!!
